About IDC

FOUNDATIONAL SCRIPTURE

"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." - Ephesians 4: 11-13

OUR HISTORY

The Georgia Dance Commission was founded in January 2005 by Sabrina McKenzie as a multicultural organization designed to unify the arts by promoting arts awareness, partnering with dance organizations and lobbying government for Georgia arts programs.

In April 2005, we were inundated with an overwhelming number of requests from dance ministries in  Bahamas, Trinidad, South Africa, Puerto Rico, Bermuda and others, to establish chapters abroad and duplicate the awesome work taking place in Georgia.

In this same year the Georgia Commission changed its name to the International Dance Commission and supported the Dancing Preachers International conference which had over 700 dance ministers in attendance from around the globe.

In 2020, we are happy to announce that there are over 40 chapters established world wide. We have five regional coordinators, legislators as partners, a corporate office in Atlanta, a dance marketing promotional service, quarterly newsletters, 24 hour prayer groups, and over 10 workshops taking place each year for the equipping of the saints.

Our motto is "We Don't Just Dance, We Vote." With this in mind, the International Dance Commission has set up voter registration drives in every chapter and consistently lobbies the government for arts funding, performing arts in public schools and positive representation for television programming.

We are continuously growing as apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers to Win Souls, Unify the Body of Christ and bring Glory to the Most High God through the performing arts ministries. It has been stated that "It Takes A Village To Raise A Family." In addition, it takes the entire five-fold ministry to edify the body
