There is nothing like having a dream in your heart. In fact, God wants us to DREAM BIG! Yes, that's right....God wants us to DREAM BIG! Why? I'm glad you asked. He wants to do the IMPOSSIBLE! Whooo! That's why I Love the Lord! He is in the small stuff but He wants us to enlarge our Vision in BELIEVING that He has good plans for US!. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. ~ Jeremiah 29:11
God wants us to fully rely on Him for those things that we cannot do so when your DREAM comes true, when you are living your DREAM awake, you will know without a shadow of a doubt that it was God who did it. No man, No woman can say they did it. He will get the credit, He will get the Glory! Amen. Yes, Amen.
Now you have to watch out for dream-thieves because they are out there. You know the naysayers, spectators, haters who don't wish you any good. They are jealous and don't want to see you prosper. But guess what? What God has for YOU is for YOU and no devil in hell can stop the plans, blessings that God already has in store for YOU! That's a hallelujah! moment right there! That is good news. This is why if we are confident of this very fact....there is no need or room for jealousy. We can and should be celebrating one another's success. Here are a few dream thieves. They are:
Dream Thief No.1) Time - Time is one of the primary strategies Satan uses to try to steal your dreams. There's just something about the passage of time that has a way of gnawing away at your faith and perseverance. The enemy will use the passage of time to bring accusations against you in your mind. He'll whisper negatives things like your just a dreamer, your dream will never come true, look how much time has passed, you're getting older, etc. The devil is a Liar! Don't listen to him.
This is how so many woman and men of God has let their Dreams slip by. You must hold on with even more resolve! until the manifestation of what God has told you to come pass. The Lord tells us Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:~ 1 Peter 5:6
Dream Thief No.2) Satan - The enemy of your soul wants no good thing for you. His job solely is to seek, kill and destroy. ~ John 10:10a
Stay in the Word of God when the enemy comes to tell you lies. In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,~ Ephesians 1:11
For we are his wormanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. ~ Ephesians 2:10
But ye are a chosen generations, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. ~ 1 Peter 2:9
Hold on to your Dream.
Dream Thief No.3) - Friends - Many of your friends will have a strong conviction or confirming witness in their spirits and will know you've heard from God. They will fully support you and pray for you as you puruse your dream. But that probably will not be the case with all those who are close to you. For convenience and comfort of their own flesh, these friends have placed you in a pattern, their pattern, and don't want you to change. Change frightens such people because their security rests in things that are temporal, not eternal. Change is not the only thing that frightens people who see things only from a natural perspective. If your friends think their lives are mediocre, average, or ordinary, your quest for excellence in God will probably threaten them. Long story short, they will not be routing for you. True God-given friends will not only encourage you in the faith, but they will also confront you and challenge you to reexamine what God has called you to do. True friends will support you even if they don't totally understand the new direction you're about to take, they won't drag you into unbelief with their negative words and attitude. Instead they will pray for you as they wait to receive more understanding on whether the dream you're pursuing truly originated in God. As you press forward in fulfilling your dream, your true friends will STICK with you through thick and thin, loving you through your failures as well as your successes.
Dream Thief No. 4) - Family - This is the one that hurt the most because you automatically assume that your family of all persons would support you. So you have survived the other three dream thief challenges and this one here is difficult and painful because it is your family. Your family is with you your entire life, you grow up loving your family members and you never lose that deep desire to have their love and approval. However, sometimes it is difficult to show love and respect to your family and obey God at the same time. It's like walking a tight rope. You pray that all your family members will be saved and come to the complete faith-filled steps toward their own divine destinies. Because family members watch you grow up they know everything about you, your strengths and weakness they question your dream, they will doubt that you heard from God, etc. They will try to explain away your dream by reminding you of past mistakes and failures. They will think you are living in la-la world and not reality. Keep pressing!
You must face head-on the accusations and uncertainties voiced by these dream thieves. Deal with them according to the Word and the Spirit of God. As you do, not only will you persevere and hold fast to your dream, but you will also be strengthened in your inner man and become more like Jesus. Hold fast to the vision God has placed in your heart. No matter how long it takes. No matter how many times you have to rebuke the devil. No matter how many friends think you're crazy and forsake you. No matter how much it hurts when family members come against your dream because of their love and concern for you. If you know that God is the one who placed the vision in your heart, this must take precedence over every other argument. Hold fast! Hebrews 10:23 admonishes us to hold fast to what God has spoken to us, not to what our family or friends say. When we receive a word from the Lord, we are to embrace it with all our strength - to hold down that divine instruction so firmly that nothing and no one can steal it from us. We must hold fast to our dream with everything in our being!
God knew you when you where in your momma's womb and has pre-ordained your days. ~ Psalm 139 God has already planned your course in life. You have a Purpose!
So be happy when people don't support you, your dreams, your endeavors, etc. Be happy when they talk about you, ridicule you, put you down and say all manner of hateful and mean things about you or toward you.
Remember "Joseph" - well he had a dream. Read his story. (Genesis 37:1-36 & 39: 1-6)

DREAM BIG! - BECAUSE GOD WANTS YOU TOO.
PRAY: Dear Heavenly Father, we come Lord Jesus to say thank you because you are the Great Dream Giver. We bless your Holy Name Lord for encouraging us through your Word that we have purpose in and through you alone. We thank you God for this deposit and that you will in your own timing, not ours, see it to completion. We can do all things through your son Jesus Christ who gives us strength and Victory! We know that all things that are impossible with man are possible with You And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to your purpose. We ask Lord that you give us BIG Dreams as we seek your kingdom first and your righteousness and we know all these other things will be added. In Jesus' Name I Pray, Amen.
