Discussion: CityWide Praise Planning for MD, DC & Virginia Ministries

Denise suggested that this be an event were all are inclusive and that their ideas and suggestions would be beneficial in the planning stages for this event. I asked for suggestions for a theme since MD, DC and Virginia are key states/cities surrounding our Nation's Capitol and is the seat of authority (The President/WhiteHouse) for The United States and Abroad we should consider this when thinking about a theme. Unity was a definite significant factor: I suggested " A Unifed Praise". Monica Reagor,suggested: 'One Mind, One Love, One Heart beat!" which everyone seemed to like.
It was also suggested by Monica that time be given to reflect on a theme for this event an perhaps we could tie it into the IDC Fast. We did take into account time is a factor when planning so we do want to solidfy a them for the event as soon as possible. It is still open, however the suggested theme: Sandra Lovelace mentioned "A New Beginning towards Healing" as a Theme... but "A Unified Praise - One Mind, One Love, One Heart Beat" - rested with the group.
Julinda did an excellent breakdown of the numbers 9-1-1: 9 = Judgement, 11 = Master, and the double 1's meaning = New Beginnings.
We talked about securing a place to hold the event. Amanda Standard suggested Wise High School (800 seat auditorium) and she mentioned that she would update us as oon as she get more information on specific details, cost, etc. She also mentioned another person Shawn Papa who has connections with a space. I responded that I would contact him and am doing my own research in way of looking to hold the event at a church which would cut down on cost. Monica mentioned Ebeneezer AME Church. I have a schedule call to followup with Monica on March 5. Monica also mentioned looking into booking a Hotel for those dance ministers who may be interested in attending and/or participating who may becoming from further distances. The Hotel location will be based upon the location of where the event will be held.
I opened the discussion if anyone had in events coming up in the area: Amanda metioned an event she is helping with. An all male ministry program being held at Wise High School on May 234d. More information to follow. I asked if she would keep me updated.
Monica Reagor mentioned a program being held in Delaware June 24-26 - Lesta Henton, Pastor Joel Burman and Veronica Gibson. More information to follow.
Clarissa Stroud called me the next morning to get an update on the conference call. She mentioned that she wanted to be on the call but I believe she had a class she was teaching. Clariss also mentioned three major events that she will be planning for this year that she is finalizing and will allow me to Co-Sponsor and share IDC information. I asked that she would update me and keep me informed as I will also followup with her.
I mentioned about MD Chapter looking for dance leaders and dance members to participate so we can set up the chapter.
I mentioned the 1 Million LB pound food drive to encourage participation and to let them know that the forms are online. I shared with them that I am here to share to network and that I need their participation and support .
I asked for a volunteer to close out in prayer and before doing so that I would followup with another teleconference soon to gather updates and for further preparation and planning of this event. I believe Monica or Julinda closed us out in prayer.
