International Liturgical Dance Day is September 7! We want to offer some information on the necessary correspondence in obtaining a proclamation. You can request proclamations and declarations from the Governor of your state and/or the Mayor of your city. Check the dates for submitting requests; some states do not grant requests if those requests are sent more than 45 days before the event. Here are some links to submitting a proclamation request:

  • ~ I know this is early and there's been a lot going on, but I will try to get a link for ND soon although I do not know exactly when. Just give me a few weeks ~
  • Hi Krishondra!
Hope all is well!! Please let me know if you can help me with getting my proclamation through. I have sent 2 requests to Gov. Christie with no answer back yet, I would appreciate any assistance you can give.

    Stay Blessed!
  • Thank you so much for the welcome. Here's wishing you God's Greatest Shalom!
  • To request a proclamation from the Governor of Pennsylvania send the request to jammccarth@state.pa.us. I am not sure who is your current state coordinator. You can contact Elayssa Newton, who is your regional coordinator. She should know if the proclamation has been submitted and she should be able to tell you who your city/state [potential]coordinators are and if the request has been submitted. If it has not you are more the welcome to request it.
  • Do yo have any information for Pennsylvania? who is also the coordinator for PA
  • Here is a sample of the wording for the proclamation.Sample Resolution or Proclamation.doc
  • Do you have a draft of the proclamation. I know there was a sample letter posted at one time and now I can't find it.
  • I just contacted the governor's office in Alabama. There are no links to the procedure. To request a proclamation from the Governor of Alabama send a draft of the proclamation along with the name and date of the event, as well as contact information to jennifer.ardis@governor.alabama.gov. The request must be made within 30 days of the event.
  • Do you have any information for Alabama
  • Krishondra,
